Quincy Jones AKG Q 460 On-Ear Headphones Review

Plenty of celebrities are popping out headphones with their names on them these days, but few of them can offer the years of experience and know-how like music ...
Pros:
  • Everything
  • Sound is amazing
  • design is comfortable and travel/iPhone friendly
Cons:
  • A bit pricey
  • not the most attractive or stylish headphones around

Go Grado

They feel too small on and the sound reflects that. Beats Solo sound much better and fit a little bigger. Would have been a geat price at if they had the quality I thought they had. Basically a cheap headphone with a famous name attached. Grado 60 or 80i's sound much better and cost the same.

AKG Q460 Headphones – Quincy Jones Stands By it, Can You?

There are musicians, and then there's Quincy Jones. You might not have heard of him, but the track "We Are the World" will definitely ring a bell. Quincy Jones also has his own signature line of headphones now, which we checked out.

good but dont last.

I have loved the headphone since I bought them from here and I woke today morning and am so dissapointed that they stopped working. After careful scrutiny,I realised it was the cable that connects to the headphones.

AKG Quincy Jones Q460

I think AKG and Quincy Jones should have picked a different headphone: the AKG K518LE is very cool. It already comes in multiple colors including a nice green; it's a only a little larger than the Q460; it's got better isolation; and it sounds a lot better than the Q460.

AKG Q460 Mini On Ear Headphones, Quincy Jones Signature Line

A few years ago, I was given this Q460 as a birthday present. At the time, I didn't have any notions as to what music was. I plugged in cheap earphones in my ear holes, and if they made any noise, then I would consider it "working" for me. The Q460 realized I had missed out on a lot.
Pros:
  • Good sounding
  • clear flow
  • nice mid and highs
Cons:
  • Muddy bass
  • questionable cables
  • not comfortable

I often approach celebrity endorsed products very cautiously since they're usually overpriced and not always of the best quality. When I received the AKG (by Harman Kardon) Q460 Quincy Jones Signature Line headphones, I was skeptical as to the worth of these headphones.

AKG Q460

Quincy Jones is a musician that many have heard of, but fewer can pin down. Can you cite his greatest achievement? His career high-point? Whether you can or not, within the context of AKG's new Quincy Jones-endorsed series, the Q460 included, what matters more is the gulf between him and Dr Dre.
Pros:
  • Rich bass
  • Good build
Cons:
  • Sound is not balanced or "natural
  • Cheaper rivals on offer
