AKG K612 PRO Reference Studio Headphones

These headphones were my daily drivers for a little over two years. They were also my first pair of open headphones. I retired them when the earpads became yucky, flat, and uncomfortable.

Excellent quality and sound for the price

I've been on the look out for a decent pair of headphones for a while now to replace a much more expensive set that died a death. I was a little skeptical of the k612 pro series as some of the reviews elsewhere question build quality (fixed cable etc) however I am so pleased that I took the plunge.

very natural

I'm a hobby guy and my only comparator is to AKG K240's. I liked the K240's but they seemed to smooth and bass heavy. My mixes were a bit harsh even in the car. I also noticed my bass was a tad thin in the car.
