An advanced camcorder but fun to use. Amazing stabilization makes a tripod almost redundant. Colour and sharpness are first class. I use it for nature photography for its speed. Zoom is very smooth. Care is needed when using a lens hood or stepping ring as vignetting may occur. Quite a bargain.

This camera replaces my nine year old Sony HDR-SR1E which was one of the first 1080i camcorders available, I only changed because the LCD monitor touch screen failed. I sincerely hope this camera can last as long. Firstly, as ever in my experience with Sony it has a great feel of quality and build.

It takes superb videos and the stabilization is excellent. However, the auto-focus is rather crude, and sometimes slow or doesn't work at all. The main problem is that one is often filming an object or subject with a background that is, obviously, behind that subject.

Let me say from the out set. I have no issues with JB HIFI. Knowing what I know now, i would not have purchased this camera. I purchased this camera thinking I could a just the manual control separately, namely the iris and shutter speed separately.

Great Camcorder!!!! Takes awesome pictures for both my business and family events. Would highly recommend it to anyone. Everything that was included in the 47th Street Photo package game in 3 days and was exactly as advertised. Great Deal!!! Thanks for everything.
