The Sony was an excellent purchase! I've used it quite frequently and have also purchased some accessories for it. I made the right choice and enjoy using my Sony. I mainly use it at night and with the infrared light I purchased, it works very well. The picture is very clear.
I did not care for this product. The video looks great from Camcorder directly to TV. When I transferred the video to computer to DVD the quality was really fuzzy. I even called Sony tech support and they were unable to help. It was very frustrating and time consuming.
Recently we bought this camcorder as our old camcorder was not working properly. The old camcorder had the tape as media and it had some playback problem and needed $450 to repair. So we thought if we put $100 more we can buy a new technically advanced camcorder.
This camcorder is a perfect fit for me. I didn't need the overhead of HD filling up my Macbook yet, so I went with this SD cam. This is my third Handycam and it exceeded my expectations.
