Panasonic 1.2 Cu. Ft. Flat and Wide Counter-Top Microwave Oven with Inverter Technology NN-SF550M

Pros: No turntable makes cleanup quick and easy, Easy-to read control panel, Preprogrammed setting, You can add or subtract cooking time from the presets, Quick minute, Keep warm, Kitchen timer, Lowest energy usage in our tests
Cons: Not good at defrosting, Lack of turntable results in poor performance; you'll need to be vigilant about rotating foods during cooking, Hard to press door-open button
Verdict: This model doesn't have a turntable

EVERY microwave shoujld be like this

Verdict: forget old fashioned revolving turntables - This one does away with the moving bottom plate and so it allows use of odd shaped pans or pans with handles - even heating - super easy cleanups - every microwave should be like this design

I have a dud

Verdict: After purchase I was advised that no stock was available for the model I prefered. Betta suggested I take a display model (Still in box) which I agreed with. I think i have a problem.

So far, I like it.

Pros: - more efficient than competitors, as measured by me - cooks slightly faster - lower power rating (1000w) and steady power draw from outlet (doesn't cycle between full and partial power) - mandatory for safe use on 15 amp circuit in older houses. - no turntable! longer/taller dishes may be used
Cons: - small, rectangular buttons - way too many preprogrammed cooking settings that few will use
Verdict: - Unfortunately NewEgg will not deliver this item via Will Call for quick satisfaction / emergency. Therefore I had to buy it elsewhere :-(. Hopefully NE will continue to carry this hard to find item.
